Não vou me repetir quanto à minha tietagem do título e talz: os universos Marvel e DC eram meus cantos preferidos do mundo numa adolescência mei bosta, e a mansão Xavier, com aquela dinâmica quase familiar entre um salvamento do mundo e outro era quase que minha casa. E claro que me identificaria mais com o nicho de personagens na minha faixa etária que vivia lá dentro =P
(é.... acho que acabei me repetindo)
Esse gibi aqui foi escrito pela mesma dupla que fez os dois álbuns dos Novo Mutantes lançados poucos anos atrás pela Panini: Chris Claremont e Bill Sienkiewiecz, mas em vez de uma história dos anos 80/90, aqui temos uma história feita ano passado que se encaixa naquele período, tipo uma história não contada naquela época. Nesse aspecto, a trama está exemplar: é fechada (Warlock surta, Magia surta em consequência e os moleques tem de resolver a bagaça toda), Claremont está reconhecível em sua melhor forma e ainda sabe conduzir seus personagens depois de tanto tempo longe deles (e sem seu maior defeito: a verborragia). A arte do Sienkiewicz tá o desbum de sempre, mesmo sendo só preto e branco, mas o trabalho do colorista (Chris Sotomayor) casa perfeitamente.
Por outro lado, temos nada de novo: todos os clichês dos personagens estão lá, todas as tramas e conflitos secundários que o Claremont invocava pra gerar alguma tensão (e, ocasionalmente, desenvolver numa história maior) nas histórias também: o lado mal de Illyanna, Doug se arriscando fundir com Warlock, o fato de Miragem ter se tornado uma valquíria numa história anterior (algo que nunca foi bem inserido ou desenvolvido pelo Claremont quando estava no comando do título, imho), etc. E, com a história tenta se encaixar no meio de uma cronologia já estabelecida, ela não tem consequências.
# Veredicto: serve pra matar as saudades =)
# Bom: o acabamento do gibi está bom, o roteiro está redondo, casando com a arte e cores (nem senti aqui a "guerra" que havia entre roteiro e arte, lá nos antigamente). E os personagens não estão congelados nos anos 80: há elementos aqui e ali de nossa época que casam perfeitamente com os personagens XD Os puristas podem mimizar, mas o tempo marvel sempre passou de forma diferente do tempo real ;)
# Mau: como falei, é tipo um Star Wars: O Despertar da Força só com os personagens originais: entrete e só reconta de forma aprimorada o que você já viu trocentas vezes antes. E, convenhamos, "Filhos da Guerra" é um título forte desperdiçado numa historinha feijão com arroz.

P.S.: agora quero saber onde exatamente eu encaixaria essa história na cronologia dos personagens. Óbvio que é após Guerras Asgardianas e antes de Inferno....
P.S.2: tem filme mais amaldiçoado que o dos Novos Mutantes? :P (pretendo ver, mesmo ciente que será uma bomba).
P.S.3: o mundo seria um lugar melhor se o Claremont tivesse feito o New Mutants Forever direito.
